Do you know exactly what you need to burn fat, lose weight, and gain muscle? Take this test to find out.
THE MOVE: Resting Metabolic Rate
WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT: In addition to VO2 Max, and Anaerobic Threshold, Resting Metabolic Rate is the third indicator that we test for as part of our Metabolic Testing Panel here at Halevy Life. Staff Coach Joe Ferraro also wrote an excellent blog about resting metabolic rate that you can find below:
As Jeff and Joe explain, resting metabolic rate is the amount of calories that you burn at rest doing nothing; without those calories, you simply won’t function! A cookie-cutter approach to dieting seldom works, and without knowing exactly what you need, you’re just guessing. Finding out your RMR takes you one step closer to knowing how many calories you need–as well as how those calories should be distributed among carbohydrates, protein, and fat–in order to lose weight, burn fat, and gain muscle.
